Emergency Resource Center (ERC)

ERC is dedicated to servicing the needs of the people living in East County, by distributing food, clothing, other items, and cash donations can be made online.

Here are some general Q&A’s

    1. What type of food and clothing items are available?ERC distributes non-perishable foods, some frozen items, and clothing for men, women, kids, and babies
    2. Who qualifies for ERC assistance?

      ERC serves people in our congregation and those residing in East County.

    3. Who does ERC get financial support from?

      ERC receives financial support from New Beginnings Church members and from supporters who donate to the nonprofit organization.

    4. It there any charge for food and clothing items?

      All donated food and clothing is distributed to the community free of charge.

    5. Does ERC have a paid staff?

      No. All work is done by volunteers who donate their time.  New Beginnings Church all administrative costs, supplies, transportation, etc.

    6. What types of programs are envisioned by ERC?

      We envision having:

      • Back-to-school clothes and school supply drives.
      • Thanksgiving food baskets and Christmas toys donated to families in need over the holidays.
      • Food and blankets pased out to the homeless during cold winter months.
    7. How many times a year do families have access to the food and clothes pantry?

      Families have access to the food and clothes pantry 1 time every
      30 days.

    8. How can I help support this ministry?

      You can help by:

      • Volunteering on Sundays from 12:30 – 2pm; or on Tuesdays from 10:30am – 2pm (whatever time is convenient for you.)
      • Networking by talking to businesses and friends about volunteering and providing donated food, clothing, and financial support
    9. If I want to bring food or clothing to the church where can I drop it off?

      ERC has several barrels labeled ERC throughout the church. Drop off is Monday through Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm, and during all service times.

    10. Will I be able to get a receipt for my donations and use it as a tax write-off?

      Yes. New Beginnings Church is a non profit religious organization with 501(c)3 status with the IRS. We have receipts available.
